Abide has been revitalizing the inner city, one neighborhood at a time, for over 30 years. But with longevity comes change. As Josh Dotzler took on the CEO mantle from his father and Abide’s founder Ron Dotzler, he wanted to take a fresh look at Abide’s brand to ensure it communicated all the good Abide was doing.
Through strategy, moodboards, sketches, logo comps, and more than a little prayer, Abide found the six words that clearly articulated their mission and a brand new look to represent their steadfast commitment to Omaha’s inner city.
Abide takes distressed houses, refurbishes them, and puts a community-oriented family in them.
They call these places “Lighthouses.” Crime decreases about 75% around each Lighthouse, and the whole neighborhood feels the impact. This organization is, in fact, a light in our city, and we’re grateful to have been a part of moving their mission forward.
