Dayspring Bank
Naming, Branding, Illustration, Website, Messaging
New name, new brand, new website; same great local service.
Formerly 1st State Bank, Dayspring needed a new brand identity that was fresh, but still represented its midwestern roots. Dayspring wanted a brand, new name, and website that stayed true to the needs of the businesses and individuals it has served since 1906.
Naming Dayspring
Coming out of the BrandScript session the team identified that in order to stand out against other banks with a similar name, it was time for a change. The Dayspring team needed a name that was rooted in the Midwestern values that have served as a foundation for its customers since day one. The name had to represent the story of the hardworking farmers, ranchers, and entrepreneurs of Nebraska; who rise before the spring of day and, often work well into the night to launch their dreams.
The naming process for a bank can be a challenge for the client and for the strategists. The name needed to be inspirational and thought-provoking but not abstract. The core theme that finally led to the name Dayspring was staying true to the hardworking farmers and entrepreneurs they serve; those who start their day before the “spring of the day”, the brand identity and design elements supported the messaging strategy that came from the BrandScript.
